Wataynikaneyap Transmission Project Training Program is a First Nation program delivered by Opiikapawiin Services L.P. The Remote Cook and Camp Services Training delivered over 8-weeks. Suitable applicants from the 24 FNLP member communities will be given selection priority and non-FNLP members will be considered if spots are available.

Participants will receive certificates in culinary, safety, nutrition, and kitchen management specifically designed to prepare participants for employment opportunities in the food and kitchen services sector of the Wataynikaneyap Power Line Project. Training includes six weeks of classroom learning and hands on practical skills with western and traditional foods, and two weeks of on-the-job mentorship in a YATAW camp. The course includes culinary techniques, kitchen management, basic nutrition, food theory, and safety certificates. Travel, meals and accommodation are included through Opiikapawiin Services LP.
