All-Woman Line Crew Ground Support Training

An all-woman course was offered for 14 weeks in the Fall of 2021 to encourage women to join the powerline work crews!

Congratulations to the graduates who completed the All Woman Line Crew Ground Support course in the Fall of 2021! We celebrate these strong women with their families, friends and community leadership. This is the only course of its kind in Canada, specifically organized for First Nation women from Wataynikaneyap Power’s owner communities. Course structure from Canada’s Infrastructure Health and Safety Association provided graduates with 25 transferable certificates. Thank you to the training team and all the trainees who earned certificates over the course of the 14 weeks.
